Christening candle & matching card

Got a call last Wednesday from my DS could I do a christening as he was to be godfather so made the card . Friday I get a call "Ma can you pick up christening gift as I have to work Sat"so went down town for a look. There was not a whole lot of a choice, S in the end I decided to make a personalised candle. I made 6 attempts before I got it right. I printed on tissue first and tried to heat it on to the candle but for some reason it wouldnt work. Then I printed on velum and eventually got it right . The gift was well received

Cards for Wales

Here are over forty cards I have been making to bring with me to Wales in two weels . My daughter is having a stall in her local fair in Caldicot and am going to try sell some of my cards. mo.st of these I coloured in while my wrist was in plaster so it was just a matter of putting them together,which took longer than planned. But they are done now

Tassels

Loved this belly dancer image. The tassels were made from ribbon, I frayed the ribbon and put a knot in the middle to make it look like a tassel, a little bit time consuming but looks ok

One for the girls

This is the card I hope to enter in Creative Craft Cottage Challenge, One for the girls. One of my favorite Lacy Sunshines images ( yes I have loads). The patterned paper is from a pack  picked up in Lidl and image coloured in with promarkers

Sunshine in the Rain

This image is a from Saturated Canaary part of Buncha digis, 9 lovely images for $8 great value. As soon as I saw this one I knew it hat to have yellow wellies. The lovely colourful backing card came from alovely pack I got in TK Max not somewhere I would have thought of to buy crafting supplies. But I got two lovely packs with 48 pages of lovely card 12x12 for €9.99 great value and very different.

I started this blog to post all the lovely cards I have been making recently. I started making cards over 10 years ago. They are my hobby and I really love the reaction I get when I make a really special one. I make them for family & friends.No two are the same and I love doing special requests and personalised ones. Hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoy making them. Thanks for looking :)

Lacy Sunshines 1920 Winter Abby

Bought this image last night and just had to colour it in . Very happy with result . The papers have been in my stash for ever think they have a vintage look about them so match the image its so much easir getting paper together first & then colouring , I have been doing the opposite all a long and it isn't so easy to match afterwards

Have had this image a few years just never seemed to get time to colour it Just made a simple card, more back up!! Coloured this in before I found all the great colour combination for promarkers & the great colouring tutorials on you tube  I particularly like Kimberly Brown

This image came free on a CD in a magazine  no longer available I tried to create a card similar to the one in the magazine , havent put any sentiment on it yet might waight to personalise it!!

Lacy sunshine image Rory Sundae

Just back from a lovely walk in Corrige with Bob & Molly. Great to be able to drive almost three months to the day that I broke the wrist. I seem like a learner driver as it is quite hard to change gear and  to turn the steering wheel, so their will be no long drives for a while yet :(. But at least I can get out for a nice walk on what seems like a nice (for the moment) Bank Holiday.

I Have been out of work for the last 3 months with a broken wrist and had plenty of time to colour. This is one of my favorite images from Karleigh Sue Digis. Did it for a fellow crafter & good friend Breda and her reaction was pure delight

This card and the next I made at a workshop run by the very talented Yvonne Tune in Carlow, W made five stunning cards Yvonne had all the bits and pieces needed for each card ready and bagged for over 20 ladies. I tried to do one of the cards today and it took me the whole day, so Yvonne puts in an awful lot of work in organising her workshops, they are definitely worth attending
